Our Vision

Philisophy

To prosper and compete in a rapidly changing and challenging economic environment, Palmers Green needs to be a more attractive place to shop and do business.

Palmers Green offers a wide range of shops, restaurants and other service businesses, many run by local families who can give a friendly and personal service through the 235 retail premises. This must continue.

We seek improvements that will attract more people to the area. We wish to see Enfield Council and any other body or business able and willing, fund better Christmas decorations, seasonal floral displays, help businesses improve their shop fronts and window displays, maintain a safe environment through visible policing and discrete CCTV, at all times keeping the pavements litter free and in good repair.

Continue the strong relationship the Association has with local schools and actively support them along with places of worship and community groups, celebrating the rich diversity of Palmers Green.

Objectives

Protect and promote the interest of traders and businesses in Alderman’s Hill and Green Lanes in Palmers Green.
Represent the views of the business community on matters of common concern including planning, environment, business rates, parking and any other issue as it arises.
Lobby and engage with Members of Parliament, Borough Councillors and officers, other public bodies, residents groups and organisations regarding matters of concern.
Campaign actively to improve the business environment and local facilities affecting businesses.
Provide any information services for members on matters affecting our businesses and to circulate such information.
Organise meetings for members as appropriate.
Cultivate links between businesses and local shops in order that they may become aware of each other’s problems.
Continue where possible to host the, Easter Egg hunt, summer Shopping Festival, and Christmas lights "switch on."
